Valor EPC

We combine practical experience with proven engineering practices

1. Early engagement of all stakeholders.

1. Early engagement of all stakeholders.

1. Early engagement of all stakeholders.

Valor EPC offers a group of senior experts who have all worked on the Owners’ side. What that means is that we can talk meaningfully about all aspects of the owner’s decision making process and are prepared to assist in that technically, commercially and strategically.

During the Early Engagement stage, our team of senior experts will:

  • Look objectively at the project goals and determine if the project is feasible.
  • Produce a package for the client that they can issue to select contractors for bidding purposes.
  • Prepare a realistic estimate of total installed cost (TIC) for their internal requisition for funding.

2. Minimizing scope.

1. Early engagement of all stakeholders.

1. Early engagement of all stakeholders.

Valor EPC carries a mindset of minimizing scope into Front end engineering development (FEED) which is characterized as the first 20-30% of the engineering of a project. Project goals and objectives are refined. The heaviest workload during this phase is in the project management and process engineering groups. We put an emphasis on driving a design that brings all stakeholder commentary into play. This is done with an eye to achieving stakeholder satisfaction by focusing on root cause/fit-for-purpose solutions that never appear as gold plating.

Deliverables at this stage are:

  • Project plot plan (overall and unit)
  • Issued for approval piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID's)
  • Key discipline design criteria specifications
  • Definitive labour and material estimate
  • Definitive execution schedule

3. Continuous, consistent collaboration.

3. Continuous, consistent collaboration.

3. Continuous, consistent collaboration.

Valor EPC never stops collaborating. As a project continues through its stages, we will continue to keep all stakeholders engaged and abreast of the project developments. This is particularly important as the project moves into the Detailed Design phase. Our approach is to ensure that no design question remain from FEED. An agreed facility configuration will be the starting point for Detailed Design which reflects the earlier collaboration with groups such as Operations, Business Development and Regulatory. From there, collaboration continues with equipment and material suppliers, fabricators and contractor – all with the goal to ensure minimal time is required for execution of purchasing, construction and commissioning

4. Efficient execution.

3. Continuous, consistent collaboration.

3. Continuous, consistent collaboration.

Valor EPC's team leads set the direction and communicate the project goals.  We only hire experienced professionals who excel at the details and focus on the finish line.  Optimal work processes are in place to ensure consistent quality of drawing packages.  Communication and ongoing feedback are how we refine and improve our work packages.
