Midstreamer providing cavern storage to local chemical company in Fort Saskatchewan. Involves a lateral pipeline , new cavern for ethylene injection/rejection, a water removal system consisting of an ethylene/brine separator and molecular sieve. Also a new brine pond with a horizontal brine/oil separator and a downstream vertical stripper.
Cavern wash followed by production phase. Condensate injection required during wash phase to control cavern shape. New design integrates a product meter system, I/A tie-in, fuel gas tie-in, flare tie-in and injection pumps.
Dual-holed to handle high flow rates. Initial wash phase for two caverns. New pump system installed to pump in fresh water from the adjacent river. Water is then stored in an existing tank and new booster pumps feed the triplex wash pumps. Booster pumps installed at each brine disposal well.
Designed for cavern wash phase followed by a production phase. Brine supply for injection and rejection utilize a 20" line connected to the new pump manifold building for the 2 new brine ponds.
Conversion involved piping replacement/modification to allow for higher flow rates and volumes. New pumps required. Brine system upgrades to accommodate conversion.
